About Conifers From Hell

Conifers From Hell is a family run tree surgery business based in Birchgrove, Swansea — built from nothing by one man with a strimmer and a lot of hard work.

Mark Williams, started out in the early 1980s as a teenager doing grass cutting with just a strimmer. From there he saved up for a trailer and mower, then a truck, then a chipper. He taught himself tree work along the way, and in 1992 he founded Conifers From Hell.

Over the next three decades, Mark built the business up into one of the most trusted names in tree surgery across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. He was loved by his customers, well known in the community, and took pride in every single job — no matter how big or small.

Mark passed away in 2024. His son Oliver now runs the company, carrying on the same values Mark built it on — honest pricing, hard work, and treating every customer's property like it's your own.
